Drinking Around the World at EPCOT is one of the most popular challenges you can do at Walt Disney World… so naturally, we had to try it properly.
For our bachelor and bachelorette party, we set ourselves a challenge: visit every country in the World Showcase, order a drink in each one, and rank them all out of 10.
Joined by our friends and family, we went from Mexico all the way to Canada, testing everything from margaritas and sake to slushes and beers to find out one thing… Which country actually has the best drink at EPCOT?

How Drinking Around the World Works
If you’ve never done it before, Drinking Around the World is exactly what it sounds like.
You make your way around EPCOT’s World Showcase, stopping at all 11 countries:
- Mexico
- Norway
- China
- Germany
- Italy
- America
- Japan
- Morocco
- France
- United Kingdom
- Canada
At each pavilion, you grab a drink, and if you’re like us… you rate it.
We scored every drink out of 10 and averaged the results across our group to create a full ranking from best to worst.
What We Drank in Each EPCOT Pavilion
This is where things get really interesting, because the drinks you choose can completely change your experience.
🇲🇽 Mexico 🇲🇽
- Avocado Margarita
- Blood Orange Margarita
- Wild One
From La Cava del Tequila, which is easily one of the most popular drink spots in EPCOT. We found it also had shorter line than the Margarita bar.
🇳🇴 Norway 🇳🇴
- Frozen Viking Coffee
- Trollkrem
A slightly different start here with a mix of sweet and strong. Trollkrem came from the Norway kiosk and Viking Coffee from Kringla Bakeri.
🇨🇳 China 🇨🇳
- Kung Fu Punch
From Joy of Tea, and honestly one of the more refreshing drinks of the day.
🇩🇪 Germany 🇩🇪
- Jägermeister Coke Slush
Probably one of the more divisive drinks on the list… We got this from the drinks kiosk by the entrance of the pavilion (with a huge German pretzel). We’ve heard the grapefruit pilsner is the way to go here!
🇮🇹 Italy 🇮🇹
- Limoncello Mule
- Orangechello Cocktail
Light, citrusy, and easy to drink, especially at this point in the challenge. From the Donkey Cart.
🇺🇸 America 🇺🇸
- Frozen Wildberry Limeade
From Block & Hans, and one of the biggest surprises of the day.
🇯🇵 Japan 🇯🇵
- Violet Sake
From the Garden House Sake Kiosk, and the clear standout for us, wait for our ratings at the bottom!
🇲🇦 Morocco 🇲🇦
- White Sangria
A solid, easy option that sits comfortably in the middle of the rankings. From the Oasis Sweets & Sips.
🇫🇷 France 🇫🇷
- La Vie En Rose Slush
A fan favourite for many, but didn’t quite hit the same for us on this day. We picked it up from the festival booth.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom 🇬🇧
- Welsh Dragon
- Indigo Hibiscus
- Guinness
From the Rose & Crown, and one we expected more from.
🇨🇦 Canada 🇨🇦
- Ottowa Apple
From the Canada popcorn stand, and easily one of the top drinks of the entire challenge.
Is Drinking Around the World at EPCOT Worth It?
Short answer? Yes… but with a few caveats.
This is one of the most fun things you can do at EPCOT, especially if you’re with a group (and over the age of 21). It turns your park day into an experience rather than just walking between rides. But it’s not something you want to rush.
Pacing is everything. The Florida sun is no joke, and by the time you hit the later countries, you’ll feel it.
Our EPCOT Drink Rankings (Best to Worst)
Here’s how everything stacked up after a full lap around the world:
- Japan – 10
- Canada – 9.5
- America – 9
- China – 8.75
- Norway – 7.75
- Italy – 7.5
- Mexico – 7.25
- Morocco – 7
- France – 6
- United Kingdom – 5.5
- Germany – 5
Japan coming out on top might surprise some people, but once you try THE violet sake… it makes a lot of sense!
Our Tips for Drinking Around the World
If you’re planning to try this yourself, here’s what we’d do differently:
Start earlier in the day so you’re not rushing, but be mindful of the heat!
Share drinks if you want to last longer.
Mix in food stops along the way.
Know your must-try locations/drinks ahead of time.
Don’t feel like you have to finish every drink.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint… and EPCOT will humble you quickly.
Conclusion
Drinking Around the World at EPCOT did live up to the hype for us. It’s fun, chaotic, and a really unique way to experience the World Showcase, especially for a celebration like a bachelor or bachelorette party.
And now we can confidently say… Japan has the best drink at EPCOT (at least in our opinion).
