✦ ORLANDO, FL ✦

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip but don’t want to pay Disney resort prices, Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration is one of those hotels that keeps popping up.

We stayed here for 10 nights during our Orlando trip to properly put it to the test. We wanted to see if it’s actually a great value alternative to staying on Disney property, or if you’re better off paying that little bit extra to be closer to the magic.

In this guide, we’re sharing our full experience, including the room, amenities, location, and whether we think it’s worth booking.

Walking into Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration, the lobby immediately feels bright, modern, and very clean. It’s got that classic Marriott feel with lots of white tones, open space, and a polished finish.

There’s a few useful things right in the lobby:

  • A grab-and-go marketplace
  • A small convenience store for essentials
  • A Starbucks counter

It feels more like a full-service hotel than just somewhere to sleep, which is a good start.

One thing we noticed straight away is that food and drinks here are on the pricier side.

We saw reviews mentioning things like $17 sandwiches, and while we didn’t quite hit that exact number, it definitely felt expensive. A couple of coffees and snacks came close to $40, which adds up quickly.

That said, the hotel charges a $28 nightly resort fee, but you get a $25 daily credit to spend on food and drinks.

So realistically, you’re only paying about $3 per day if you actually use the credit. That’s a nice touch, but it does almost encourage you to spend money on-site.

The pool area is one of the standout features of the hotel… but also where we had the most frustrating experience.

  • Large main pool with a waterslide
  • Second quieter pool
  • Two hot tubs (including a more hidden one with a waterfall)
  • Fire pit, lounge chairs, and relaxed resort vibe

We had a bit of a nightmare ordering drinks:

  • No towels available when we arrived
  • Took a while to restock
  • Drinks took nearly an hour to arrive
  • No bartender at times

That said, it clearly wasn’t a staff issue. One team member was running the entire pool area on her own.

And importantly, when we raised it with the hotel they were genuinely apologetic and kindly comped our entire lunch. So while the experience itself wasn’t great, the way the hotel handled it actually was.

There’s quite a lot going on here beyond just the pool, including:

  • Fitness center with outdoor workout space
  • Conference center and business area
  • Multiple dining options including Waves Bar & Grill
  • A quiet koi pond area (one of our favourite spots to relax)

It definitely feels like a hybrid between a resort and a conference hotel.

One thing we completely agree with from other reviews is that the layout can be confusing.

The hotel is split across multiple buildings, and:

  • They all look very similar
  • It’s easy to get lost, especially at first

Even after a few days, we still had moments of “where are we going again?”

This is where things get really important if you’re comparing this to staying on Disney property.

  • Available to Disney and Universal
  • But very limited and infrequent
  • Doesn’t cover all parks

We didn’t use it once. Instead, we relied on Ubers and Lyfts

  • Around 20 minutes to Disney
  • Around 25 minutes to Universal

That sounds fine on paper, but the cost adds up quickly. There were times we wanted to head back for a quick break and just couldn’t justify spending $20 on a ride.

Our room had:

  • Two queen beds
  • Plenty of space
  • Good natural light
  • A large fridge with free water
  • Streaming capabilities on the TV

Overall, it was comfortable and worked well for a 10-night stay.

  • Beds were genuinely comfortable
  • Plenty of space even with all our stuff everywhere
  • Free water was a big bonus
  • Small maintenance issues (paint, broken AC cover)
  • Windows weren’t very clean
  • Some signs of wear and tear

It feels like the hotel had a renovation… but didn’t quite finish the job.

Nothing too major, but it’s the kind of stuff you don’t expect from a Marriott-level hotel.

Another slightly frustrating part of the stay was the elevators.

They worked, but:

  • Often busy with housekeeping
  • Hard to get one in the mornings
  • Occasionally out of service

When you’re staying on a higher floor and trying to rope drop the parks, it’s not ideal.

Despite the name, the hotel isn’t really in Celebration. We actually walked there one morning and it took about 45 minutes

There’s also very little directly around the hotel with limited safe walking areas, especially at night. So this is definitely a drive or Uber location, not a walkable one.

Overall, we had a positive stay at Delta Hotels Orlando Celebration.

But here’s the honest truth:

👉 We probably wouldn’t stay here again
👉 But we also wouldn’t tell you not to stay here

It sits in a bit of a middle ground.

  • You want something nicer than budget hotels
  • You don’t mind using Ubers
  • You value space and amenities
  • You want easy access to Disney
  • You plan to go back to the hotel midday
  • You want a seamless, stress-free park trip

For us, being closer to Disney would win next time, especially on long park days.

This hotel does a lot right. The rooms are comfortable, the amenities are solid, and the staff genuinely care when things go wrong.

But it’s the small details, location, and transport limitations that stop it from being a no-brainer recommendation.

With so many options in Orlando, it really comes down to what matters most to you.
