Day Sixteen of our West Coast Road Trip: Back In The Great White North

VANCOUVER, BC

HEY STRANGERS!

Today, our adventure continued as we awoke in our hotel near Seattle, Washington. However, a little mishap with our alarm had us scrambling to get ready and pack up our bags. Despite the initial rush, we hit the road, knowing it was our last day on American soil for this trip, and headed towards the border.

As we bid farewell to the United States, we couldn’t help but reminisce about the incredible adventures we’d had over the past two weeks. The memories we’d made and the videos we’d filmed filled our thoughts, making us even more excited to share our journey with others.

Approaching the US-Canadian border, we eagerly anticipated returning to the Great White North. Crossing into Canada, we set our sights on Vancouver, a city we’ve come to love over the years.

Upon arrival at our hotel, something truly special awaited us—reunion with my parents. It had been a while since we’d seen them, with the last visit being in February earlier in the year. The reunion was heartwarming and made our arrival in Vancouver even more memorable.

Together with my parents, we embarked on a mission to showcase Vancouver’s beauty. We began with a leisurely walk along the iconic seawall, savoring the stunning views of the city and waterfront. Along the way, we paused to enjoy a refreshing cocktail, letting the joy of being together fill the air.

Our journey led us to the beloved Stanley Park, where we strolled through lush greenery and reveled in the park’s natural beauty. Soon, we found ourselves at Stanley Park Brewing, where we indulged in a delightful lunch, savoring delicious food and drinks amidst a picturesque setting.

As the day wore on, we made our way back to the hotel to check in. The sun was shining, casting a warm and golden hue over Vancouver, making our experience truly magical.

After a quick refresh at the hotel, we crossed over to Cactus Club, a renowned high-end casual dining spot in Canada. The meal was exquisite, and our taste buds were treated to a delightful culinary journey.

Of course, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to enjoy some gelato, capping off our day with a sweet note. Finally, we retreated to the hotel’s inviting hot tub, where we relaxed and unwound, taking in the sights and sounds of this incredible city.

Tomorrow marks our last official full day of vacation before we head back to Kelowna the following day. We’re determined to make the most of it with an adventure to one of our favorite spots, Granville Island, and further exploration of this amazing city.
