REDWOOD, CA
HEY STRANGERS!
Our journey kicked off from a cozy Airbnb just outside of Eureka, California. With the car packed and a steaming cup of coffee in hand, we hit the road for another day of adventure.
Today’s leg of the trip promised a long drive, beginning at the remarkable Redwood National Park. Nestled within the park resides the world’s tallest trees, the awe-inspiring coastal redwoods. As we embarked on the scenic Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway, we couldn’t resist making a few stops to immerse ourselves in the presence of these colossal giants.
Fun Fact: Did you know that the tallest tree on Earth, Hyperion, which stands at a staggering 379.7 feet (115.7 meters), was discovered in California’s Redwood National Park?
Continuing our journey through the park, we ventured deep into the forest in search of the Grove of Titans, another group of massive redwood trees. Maneuvering the car between these towering giants and navigating winding dirt paths was an adventure in itself. Upon arriving, we excitedly hopped out and embarked on a short walk, weaving between these majestic trees that seemed to reach for the sky.
With our spirits lifted by this unique experience, we returned to the car, our sights now set on our next destination: Oregon. This marked the final brand-new state on our trip.
Crossing the state lines, we were immediately greeted by the iconic towering rocks that adorn Oregon’s coastline. These massive rock formations dotted the shoreline as we journeyed from the southern border of the state all the way to our resting place in Rockaway Beach, North Oregon.
We made a couple of quick pit stops along the way, allowing us to traverse almost the entire length of the Oregon Coast in a single day. Along the route, we passed through numerous charming and intriguing towns, each with its unique character and allure.

Finally, we reached our beachfront Airbnb in Rockaway Beach, ready to seize the adventures that awaited us the next day. Our morning promised exploration, followed by a visit to the renowned Cannon Beach, and then we would venture further into the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon.
Our adventure isn’t over yet, so be sure to stay tuned for the latest updates on our Instagram and YouTube channels!
