ARIZONA – LAS VEGAS
HEY STRANGERS!
Greetings, fellow explorers! Jake and Georgia checking in with another exciting chapter of our West Coast road trip. Today, we began our day in an Airbnb glamp tent in Arizona, just an hour away from the majestic Grand Canyon. While our tent was nestled in a lush desert setting, it sadly missed some of the features we had paid for, like Wi-Fi and heating. We know it’s not the roughest way to camp, but we had splurged for a glamping experience, after all!
We woke up bright and early, eager to soak in the beauty and breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon at the south visitor center. The moment we set eyes on this natural wonder, it took our breath away. Walking the rim of the canyon, surrounded by stunning vistas and awe-inspiring scenery, was a memory we’ll treasure forever. And of course, we couldn’t resist picking up a few keepsakes from the store before hitting the road bound for Las Vegas.
As we rolled into the chaotic traffic of Las Vegas, we gradually made our way to our hotel, none other than the iconic Paris Las Vegas! The chaos continued as we navigated parking, found the lobby, and checked in. Eventually, we reached our room and prepared ourselves for an evening of exploration among the nearby hotels.
Our adventure led us through the streets of Paris (Las Vegas, that is), and we hopped next door to visit Planet Hollywood before grabbing an unexpected meal at the Rainforest Cafe. A massive hurricane cocktail fueled our journey as we ventured out to the famous Vegas Strip, making our way to the Cosmopolitan. There, we played our first casino game and, well, let’s just say we immediately contributed to the house’s profits.
Continuing our tour, we made our way to the stunning Bellagio, where the conservatory had been adorned with a beautiful autumn display that left us in awe. The sights, sounds, and scents were simply incredible. Unfortunately, the viewing area for the Bellagio Fountains on the strip was closed as preparations were underway for an F1 race later in the year. We managed to catch glimpses of the fountains from the lobby, but the crowds made it challenging to get a good view.

Our next stop was the legendary Caesars Palace, where we soaked in the vibrant atmosphere before beginning our journey back to Paris. It had been a long day, as we’d been up since 5 AM, so bedtime was calling. As we crossed back into Paris, we couldn’t resist snagging a huge cake from a Cake Boss/Carlos Bakery vending machine, the perfect indulgence to wrap up our first night in Vegas.
That’s right, for once, we’ll actually be staying in one place for more than a day. I’m sure our car is grateful for the rest! We’ll be savoring all that Sin City has to offer tomorrow and most of the following day, so be sure to follow our Instagram stories for all the latest updates!
