SOMEWHERE, IDAHO
HEY STRANGERS!
Good morning, fellow adventurers! Jake and Georgia here, and we’re back to share the next thrilling chapter of our West Coast road trip with you. Day Two had us waking up in our cozy school bus Airbnb in Spokane, Washington, ready to hit the open road once again. So, buckle up and join us for today’s journey!
After packing up and bidding a fond farewell to our charming alpaca friends, it was only natural that we kicked off our day with a stop at Starbucks. A road trip essential, right? Caffeine in hand, we set off for another day of adventure.
Our route led us into Idaho, a brand new state for both of us. Idaho greeted us with stunning scenery, characterized by mountains and natural beauty. Georgia, who sometimes battles car sickness, wisely took a tablet to ease her discomfort, but it ended up making her a bit drowsy. No worries, though—Jake stepped up as the designated view-enjoyer for the first leg of the journey.
Moving through the northern part of Idaho, we soon crossed into Montana, another new state on our road trip checklist. With approximately 10 hours of driving ahead, we knew we’d need a pit stop.
After pressing deeper into Montana, we paused in Missoula. Here, we added a Montana-themed Starbucks mug to our collection and refueled with a bite to eat at Panera Bread. A quick visit to Target provided us with supplies for tonight, tomorrow morning, and lunchtime on the road.
Eager to reach our next evening stop, we hit the road once more. The drive through Montana was a feast for the eyes, with its majestic mountains, lush forests, and endless plains. It felt long but was filled with natural beauty. Eventually, we crossed back into Idaho, this time in the southeastern region, as we prepared for our grand adventure into Yellowstone National Park tomorrow.
The journey today spanned about 10 hours, making it the longest drive of our entire trip. However, this also meant that from here on out, we get to take it a bit easier, savoring the sights along the way and stretching our legs whenever we please.

As we arrived at our awesome glamping tent in the pitch black, it couldn’t have been more perfect for stargazing. Yellowstone awaits us tomorrow, and we can hardly contain our excitement!
