SPOKANE, WA
HEY STRANGERS!
Hey there, fellow adventurers! We’re Jake and Georgia, and we’re about to take you on a journey you won’t forget. Welcome to Day One of our epic West Coast road trip. So, grab your virtual seatbelt, and let’s dive into our adventure!
Our day kicked off in Kelowna, British Columbia, where we’re based. But before we hit the road, we had to make a pit stop at everyone’s favorite road trip companion: Starbucks. Armed with our coffee, we set off for the U.S. border, excitement building with every mile.
As we crossed into the United States, we found ourselves on a gravel road, and let’s just say, panic mode briefly set in. Were we going to be bumping along this rough terrain for the entire journey? Thankfully, it turned out to be a short 20-minute detour, and we were back on track.
Our first destination: Spokane, Washington. We rolled up to our unique accommodation for the night, Skoolie, a converted school bus Airbnb. But that’s not all; our Airbnb hosts had a little farm on their property. We got to know the friendly alpacas, chickens, goats, and sheep before diving into our video-making duties for our YouTube channel. The alpacas were the real stars of the show, by the way!
With our farm adventure complete, our stomachs began to rumble. We headed into Spokane for dinner at Mac Daddies. Prepare yourselves for this one – it was a mac and cheese extravaganza! But trust us, it was as delicious as it sounds.
Following our hearty meal, we made our way to Riverfront Park, where a massive, beautifully lit canopy performed a dazzling light show. Beneath it, a vibrant festival was in full swing, celebrating Mexican Independence Day. However, due to a longer-than-anticipated journey, we arrived when the park was cloaked in darkness. Spokane left us with a strong impression of modernity, cleanliness, and liveliness, and we’re eager to explore it more in the future.

Exhausted but exhilarated, we returned to Skoolie to get some well-deserved shut-eye. Tomorrow’s a big day as we set our sights on Yellowstone. And remember, we’re capturing every moment of this adventure on film, so stay tuned to our YouTube channel for upcoming vlogs in the coming weeks.
Thanks for joining us on this incredible journey, and we can’t wait to share more of our West Coast road trip with you!
